The Loop IRIS

The Integrated Rating Indicator for Sustainability (IRIS) is a visual tool developed by Loop to quickly and easily communicate sustainability performance over time. In one colour-coded image, the IRIS shows the current status of each performance indicator relative to their targets. As progress is achieved, the IRIS “closes”.

Divided into four quadrants –- Energy & Atmosphere, Community & Prosperity, Natural Environment, and Materials & Consumables –- the IRIS provides investors, community members, employees and other stakeholders with an at-a-glance look at an organization’s sustainability strengths and weaknesses. Over a number of years, the IRIS will provide a visual narrative of progress towards sustainability in the specific areas identified as important by an organization.

Additional layers of the IRIS include Indicator Sustainability Scorecards, which reveal a greater depth of information for each indicator. Through the scorecards you can share information, for example with your employees, relating to your organization’s goals, targets, strategies and actions to achieve success.
